Prayer is one of the two active skills responsible for spell casting, along with Magery. To cast a prayer use Prayer skill or the command ]divinespell, then select a prayer.
Usage
The Prayer skill gives access to 7 total prayers depending on the users skill.
- Aid
- Smite
- Bless
- Curse
- Boon
- Sanctify
- Ressurect
The actual function of the prayer depends entirely upon the users Religion. Each of the Pantheons have unique interpretations of these 7 prayers.
Rather than consuming mana like Arcane Spells, Prayers drain the user's Stamina. The strength of prayers are fixed, always as powerful as they will ever be. The major difference that scales with the skill of the cleric is how quickly the prayer is answered.
A character can generally have only one active prayer at a time, and until the prayer is answered any new prayers cast by the cleric will simply supersede the last, unless the caster has the Holy Chorus feat.
Formula
Prayers are considered "cast" almost immediately, however their effect is delayed by a predictable amount based on the skill of the caster and the rank of the prayer.
Time in Seconds = 45 * (Required Prayer / Current Prayer)
Required Skill | Prayer | |
---|---|---|
10 | Aid | Smite |
50 | Bless | Curse |
62.5 | Boon | Sanctify |
87.5 | Ressurect |
