Gameplay
The soldier is a defensive specialist with no particular weapon preference. While remarkably powerful with groups of other soldiers, Shield Wall and Standard Bearer make for strong support tools in any party.
Roleplay
Doughty and forthright, soldiers are something of an everyman. A soldier is an experienced combatant who's used to working alongside other professionals. Sometimes a bit hidebound, soldiers think tactically but can get too focused on maintaining discipline.
