With an eye for the entire battlefield and a mind for leadership, the Archer might be thought of as the nobility of the battlefield. None can equal to a true, dedicated archer in skill. Able to hit the bull's eye with a good bow at the range of 300', the archer can hit a man at a much longer distance. A necessity of any army is a good core of skilled archers. Archers are not strong in close quarters, but quite able to hold their own nevertheless. The archer is the choice for you who want to be able to wield a bow with terrifying efficiency, yet command authority and respect.

Gameplay

Your range and mobility are your greatest advantages, requiring no specific timing concerns such as mages or clerics means that you may freely reposition. Pick your battles, keep your distance, and do not forget about your ancillary tools such as peacemaking and intimidation.

Roleplay

Commanding powers of battlefield control such as peacemaking and intimidation, it's not uncommon for archers to have a certain sense of swagger and bravado as, after all, its not often their own faces getting beaten in.

Getting Started

Remember that your aim skill is distance based, stay just close enough to enemies to attack them while maintaining the minimum distance required to attack. As your Aim skill increases you can get further away from your enemies and still hit them. You may find it useful to use Range 2 polearms as all ranged attacks including those made with melee weapons involve the aim skill as a check.
