Gameplay
Shifting Steps compensates the swashbuckler for their lightweight armor with improved resistance. An expert with fencing weapons, the swashbuckler's lower attack speed is somewhat compensated by intermittent Ripostes. Often described as a "dodge tank", the Swashbuckler is a straightforward melee combatant with incredible defensive potential.
Roleplay
A charming smile and devil-may-care attitude are all a swashbuckler needs to get by. Trusting to their luck, swashbucklers can seem reckless or ditzy to those who haven't seen just how often they pull through tough scrapes.
