How come I can’t train skills A majority of skills can only be obtained via leveling up in certain classes. To level up you use the command ]level
What skills can I train?
Skills that you can train are called Common Skills. The below is a list of common skills and what they do:
Alchemy – Used to make potions.
Arms Lore – Provides information on the quality of weapons and armor. Considered useless at this time.
Begging – Currently not working. But I think its suppose to be renamed to Haggling and will influence the buy prices of vendors, and how much gold vendors will give you for items.
Blacksmithing – Used to craft Metal armors and weapons.
Camping – Used to increase health/stamina/mana regeneration outside of combat. This is a useful skill to have if you enjoy hunting. The more camping skill you have the quicker you establish a camp. Establishing a camp and standing near it will increase your regeneration rates.
Cartography – Used to make maps and decode treasure maps. The skill goes well with Disable Device which is a class skill to open locked chests.
Carpentry – Used to make Wooden weapons / shields and furniture.
Cooking – Used to craft food. Food have a nutrition value. Different foods have different nutrition value. Making exceptional or masterwork food increases the nutrition value of that food. You need Taste ID to see what the nutrition value is of food. Nutrition can influence: Regeneration for stamina, mana, health, your resistance to damage, skillgain rate, cast speed rate, experience gain.
Taste Identification – Used to see the nutrition value of food.
Awareness – Formerly known as Detect Hidden. The skill is used to detect stealth units around you. If successful you will reveal the stealthed person.
Fishing – Used to fish up fishes, boots, magic fishes (not that great). At higher levels you can find SOS bottles which can lead to treasure chests. You can find low level treasure maps and fishing nets.
Fletching / Bowcraft – Used to create bows / arrows
Forensics – Used to determine who killed something.
Enchantment – Used to put magical properties on to metal weapons, armor, jewelry. See the attached link for more details http://www.teiravon3.com/forums/showthre...5#pid29695
Item ID – Used to identify objects that show “Unidentified” on it. Undentified objects have enchantments that need to be ID’d in order to know what that enchantment is.
Lumberjacking – Chop trees and increase the damage you do with axe weapons.
Mining – Used to mine and smelt ore. Also to create alloys (ingots that are made by combining two other ingots.)
Tailoring – Used to create clothes and craft certain armors that have special properties.
Farming – Used to plant and harvest crops on farrow farmland.
Tinkering – Used to craft an assortment of things.
What is the individual skill cap of common skills? Each common skill can be raised to 100 skill.
How many common skills can I have? The skillcap on common skills is 300. 320 skillcap if your character is Human. So you can have as many common skills as you want, as long as you have not yet reached the skillcap. The skill cap only applies to COMMON skills. Skills you obtain through class leveling does not count towards your skillcap.
What are the commands available to me? Using the command ]help or ]helpinfo shows a list of commands. Not all of them are available to use by you.
Explain how to use cleric spells
As a cleric, you must locate a shrine. The majority of cities, if not all, have a shrine somewhere that will set you to certain pantheon. You can change your pantheon whenever you want. Once you've double clicked the shrine and set yourself to that pantheon you will be to cast the spells for that pantheon. To cast cleric spells use the command ]divinespell . Cleric spells cost stamina to use. Higher SpiritSpeak skill will unlock the other clerical spells for you to cast.
Why is the cleric spell not casting?
Cleric spells cast speed is based off your SpiritSpeak skill. The higher spiritspeak, the faster you will cast. In the beginning it may take 30+ seconds to cast a smite or aid spell. If you try to cast a cleric spell before your last spell has hit. Your new cleric spell that you casted will override your last spell. Meaning the first spell won’t cast. So you have to wait for the cleric spell to finish casting before you can start casting another cleric spell.
Explain how to use wizard spells Majority of cities have libraries that have arcane tomes that you can memorize spells from. Teiravon 3 does not use spellbooks. To cast spells you use command ]wizardgump. To learn a spell you have to click an arcane tome, then click yourself. This will open your wizard gump and you select the slot that you want to memorize the spell into. For every 5 levels in wizard, you get 2 more spellslots to memorize spells into. Arcane tomes can also be found on some spellcasting creatures.
Why am I losing stamina? This is most likely due to your character wearing armor that he/she does not have the strength yet to properly wear. Even though your character meets the str requirements to wear armor does not mean that they can move comfortably in that armor. Make sure you’re not wearing any armor. At low levels, you will notice your stamina will drop even when running which is normal. This gets better at higher levels. Also remember that clothing does not cause you to lose stamina. So don’t start stripping all your clothes thinking it will help you.
Do I need to eat? There is no consequences for not eating food.
I was killed and my screen went black? If all you see is black, then you were not killed. You are in a state called Unconscious. Your character is probably bleeding to death, but if you survive then you will stay knocked out until you regenerate a certain amount of Hitpoints and Stamina. After which you will then wake up in the same spot.
My friend is knocked out and bleeding to death, what can I do?
If you have bandages, you can double click the bandages then their unconscious body - assuming they are not dead, you will be able to try and stabilize his wounds so that they do not keep bleeding out.
Why does so and so get up faster than me when knocked out? Your regeneration rate can help you get up faster. Some classes have faster health and stamina regeneration (focus skill) than other classes. A common tactics to use to help someone recover from unconscious faster is to make a camping fire near them to help increase their regeneration rate while unconscious.
Okay I turned into a ghost, what happened? Now you have died. Your ghost will have to either, 1) Find a Cleric Shrine - most likely inside a town then double click it or 2) Have a cleric resurrect you. It helps if you stay in Warmode so that a cleric can see you when they are trying to resurrect you.
