Character Applications

Quote: The following information needs to head your application

The name of the character:

Choose the option below that best suits your needs. Supply any additional required information based on your choice.

Quote: Do-over, mulligan, take-back

You can request a refund on your feats or perks to fix up mistakes or regrets. The offending feats or perks will be removed and you will be granted back the points as though you had never spent them in the first place. This does not require any RP legwork in the form of story or in-game activity to make happen and you may simply post to IRC or Page in game with your request there if staff are available to resolve it.

Details that must be included in this application (in addition to the above requirements): Nothing! Don't even write out the application. Just Page in-game or message an active staff member!

Quote: Change of heart

You can apply to change your character's class to another class available to that race. This application must include a linked story or in-game legwork roleplay that showcases the transition or the character in their new capacity. The in-game process for granting this request will involve deleting the character and remaking them under the same name and race, preserving your experience total, items, holdings, and any common skills earned between the two classes.

Details that must be included in this application (in addition to the above requirements): Current Class: Desired Class: Skills shared between the two classes (that you desire to keep):

Quote: Embrace your roots

You may request that your character's class be changed to your race's Prestige class. This works like the change of heart above, but is called out here as being an option that is allowed and granted to those that show effort, both in game and in the story submission.

The standard procedure for gaining access to a prestige class (that procedure is being circumvented through this application) is that you must have a level 20+ character of the same race you wish to roll the prestige class in, then create the new character and select the appropriate race. On the class selection you will have the option of creating the prestige. You then set out just as though you had had a change of heart above.

If you wish to have your current character become the racial prestige class, this application option is here for that reason.

Details that must be included in this application (in addition to the above requirements): Current Class: Desired Class: Skills shared between the two classes (that you desire to keep):

Quote: Reincarnation

Should your time as a particular character be drawing to an end that will result in its deletion such as being permakilled through execution or a myriad of other reasons that would result in a character being up for removal, this option is here to help alleviate your new start.

Either the end of your current character or the introduction of your new character must be showcased through in-game roleplay or a linked story.

This option will involve the deletion of your character to remake. You will be eligible to keep only your experience points and skills earned on the original character that are shared with the new class (if any.) Items and holdings will not transfer.

Details that must be included in this application (in addition to the above requirements): Desired Name: Desired Class: Desired Race: Skills shared between the two classes (that you desire to keep):

Notes Any alchemist class can simply Page or message an in-game staff member regarding being converted into the Forester, Light Cleric, Dark Cleric, or one of the five mages - eligible to their race. Those classes can do everything the Alchemist can but more.

Linked story refers to the Roleplay Stories subforum. Write the story there, link to it in your application.

Legwork just refers to being active towards your goal in game and being able to reference that activity in the application.

Holdings refers to items, pets, vendors, homes, and all things which comprise an identity beyond race/class/name/power.

Secret applications are a thing. You may submit your application directly to any active Game Master if you intend to keep your character a secret from the public.

If you do not hear back from staff regarding your application in one week, feel free to inquire about its status.

An important note

Donated feat points and skill caps do not transfer. Such characters may apply safely for do-overs. The other options are not available if the intention is to keep those benefits.

These application guidelines, are legacy and pending a rework to fit the T3 systems. I am unsure what place they have yet.
